Kenaf Seeds and Books
For many years, Whitten Kenaf production averaged approximately 4–6 tons of fiber and hurd per acre.
Today, after more than 20 years of dedicated breeding and improvement of Whitten Kenaf seed in the United States, average fiber and hurd yields have increased significantly to approximately 6-10 dry and 12–20 wet tons per acre. This substantial improvement allows growers to achieve consistently, higher production of fiber and hurd from fewer acres, reducing planting, irrigation, cultivation, and harvesting costs while improving overall profitability.
Improved Whitten Kenaf seed is currently available at $10.00 per pound plus shipping. One ton of seed/100 acres for most applications. The enhanced genetics provide both the quantity and quality necessary to meet the production requirements of serious manufacturers and commercial buyers, as well as growers.

To reserve seed for March 2027 delivery, a deposit of $10,000.00 per ton is required along with signed agreement protecting our seed supplier and seed quality. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer as costs may change with shippers at time of delivery and we have no way of predicting what that will be. The remaining balance of $10,000.00 per ton, plus shipping arrangements will be due before shipping begins in March 2027.
Order deadline for the 2027 growing season is 1 January 2027 while supply lasts.
