Kenaf Seeds and Books
For many years, Whitten Kenaf production averaged approximately 4–6 tons of fiber and hurd per acre. Historically, imported kenaf seed purchased, this included Whitten and other varieties.
Today, after more than 20 years of dedicated breeding and improvement of Whitten Kenaf seed in the United States, average fiber and hurd yields have increased significantly to approximately 6-10 dry and 12–20 wet tons per acre. This substantial improvement allows growers to achieve higher production of fiber and hurd from fewer acres, reducing planting, irrigation, cultivation, and harvesting costs while improving overall profitability.
Improved Whitten Kenaf seed is currently available at $10.00 per pound, plus shipping, from one of the nearest U.S. distribution locations. The enhanced genetics provide both the quantity and quality necessary to meet the production requirements of serious manufacturers and commercial buyers.
Seeds are being planted for contract sales only and require prior signed agreement as part of the USDA "Seed Protection Program" starting this year and will continue for 3 years. Before purchasing, request your copy of agreement and instructions bob@kenafpartnersusa.com
